Oregon Education Association endorses
I am very excited to announce that the Oregon Education Association has endorsed me in my race for state representative.
Winning this endorsement is a special honor, I’m a proud HilHi graduate (go Spartans!) and I am the person I am today partly because I had great teachers that gave me a great education. As you can imagine, having some of my former teachers choose to endorse me to represent them in Salem is pretty special.
Our schools in Hillsboro, Cornelius and Forest Grove face real challenges – budget cuts are lopping off school days and class sizes are ballooning. To have a strong community and a strong economy, we need strong schools. I’m running to make sure that kids today get the same opportunity I had – great schools that gave me an opportunity to succeed.
Oregon’s teachers join a great list of community and organizational endorsements – it’s quite a coalition (check it out the full list here), and it represents what we’re hopefully going to bring with us to Salem: a large and diverse group of people that want to work together to make our community better and get things done.
